Our Wedding

Our StoryIt all started in Las Vegas more than 40 years ago at a wine tasting event, UNLVino, where a new lawyer and a young advertising professional happened to cross paths. What followed was a great chapter of exploring the desert together—from hiking the local mountains to sailing on Lake Mead. Life eventually took us on separate paths, including marriages to others, but we never completely forgot the connection we made all those years ago.Fast forward to twelve years ago, when the universe pulled us back together. Since then, we've spent our time rekindling that old spark, blending our extended families, friends, traveling the world, and building a life we love. Looking back at how we found our way back to each other, we use the phrase "crazy lucky" all the time. As we look ahead to our next chapters, we’re ready for more travel, more concerts, the joy of grandchildren, and eventually, retirement. We can't help but wonder what the next chapters will bring, but we know we're ready for it all—together.

🧥 Weather &amp; TimingQ: What will the weather be like in Sedona in October?A: October is arguably the most beautiful month in Sedona, but the high-desert climate comes with big temperature swings. Mornings can be quite crisp (in the mid-50s), while the afternoon sun will warm the canyon up into the mid-70s or low 80s. Layering is your best friend!Q: Is the reception fully outdoors? What happens if it rains?A: Yes! Our brunch reception is set directly out in the beautiful desert mountain cliffs to take in the morning views.👗 Dress Code &amp; TerrainQ: What is the dress code?A: Think upscale, chic daytime attire—flowing midi or maxi dresses, smart tailored separates, or relaxed blazers.Q: Can I wear heels?A: We highly advise against stilettos or thin heels! Because the reception is on natural cliffside terrain with uneven dirt and rock, please opt for block heels, wedges, or stylish dressy flats so you can mingle safely and comfortably.🎃 Halloween Weekend &amp; TravelQ: Why should I book my travel and hotel early?A: October is peak tourism season in Sedona, and because it is Halloween weekend, the town will be incredibly vibrant and busy. Hotels, flights, rental cars, and resort activities will book out months in advance, so we strongly encourage making your reservations as soon as possible!Q: Are there any local Halloween events we should check out?A: Yes! Sedona does Halloween big. From the famous Dia de los Muertos celebrations at Tlaquepaque Arts &amp; Shopping Village to the Uptown costume festivities, there is a ton to do. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP.Q: Is there parking at the cliffside venue?A: Yes, the resort offers complimentary valet/self-parking for hotel guests. VERY IMPORTANT: Check back here for parking updates due to renovations at Enchantment and the need to shuttle guests from a nearby parking area to the property. However, since the venue is steps from the main property, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early to walk out to the cliffs.Q: Can I bring a plus-one or my children?A: We are only able to accommodate the guests explicitly listed on your formal invitation. Thank you for understanding!Q: What type of weather can we expect?A: Please dress for the crisp October mountain air, but expect a beautiful sunny day!Mornings in October can be crisp before the sun fully warms the canyon. We highly recommend bringing a jacket, blazer, or wrap for the early part of the day.Sedona will feature warm, pleasant days and cool nights, with average high temperatures around 77°F and average low temperatures near 48°F.

Sedona is nestled high in the canyon mountains, making it a spectacular destination to drive into. Because October is peak season in the desert, we highly recommend booking your flights and rental cars well in advance!✈️ Choosing Your AirportPhoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX): Recommended. This is the largest major airport near us, offering the most direct flight options and rental car availability. From PHX, it is a straightforward and beautiful 2-hour drive north up the interstate.Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG): The absolute closest commercial airport to Sedona. It is a smaller regional airport, so you will likely need a connecting flight (usually through Phoenix or Dallas), but it cuts your drive down significantly.Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas: If you want to turn our wedding weekend into a classic Southwestern road trip, flying into Vegas is a fantastic option.🚙 Driving from Las VegasFor our Nevada family and friends—or guests opting to turn our wedding weekend into a Southwestern road trip—the drive from Las Vegas to Sedona is simple, beautiful, and highly recommended!Drive Time &amp; Distance: Approximately 280 miles (4.5 to 5 hours).The Route: Head south out of Vegas on US-93 past Boulder City and across the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge (near the Hoover Dam) into Arizona. Catch I-40 East through Kingman and Williams, then take AZ-89A South from Flagstaff for a breathtaking, winding descent through Oak Creek Canyon straight into Sedona.Pro Tip: Keep an eye out for historic Route 66 stops along I-40 if you want to grab lunch or stretch your legs!🌵The drive from the center of Sedona (Uptown) to Enchantment Resort takes about 15 to 20 minutes.Distance: ~8.5 milesRoute: Head west on SR-89A into West Sedona, turn right on Dry Creek Road, and follow it into Boynton Canyon Road until you reach the resort gate.Traffic Note: Driving through West Sedona during peak tourist hours (mid-day weekends) or high season (spring/fall) can add 5–10 minutes due to traffic at key intersections and roundabouts on SR-89A.🏞️To help you plan your getaway for our celebration, we have gathered a few accommodation options to suit every style.
