Our Wedding

Our StoryIt all started in Las Vegas more than 40 years ago at a wine tasting event, UNLVino, where a new lawyer and a young advertising professional happened to cross paths. What followed was a great chapter of exploring the desert together—from hiking the local mountains to sailing on Lake Mead. Life eventually took us on separate paths, including marriages to others, but we never completely forgot the connection we made all those years ago.Fast forward to twelve years ago, when the universe pulled us back together. Since then, we've spent our time rekindling that old spark, blending our extended families, friends, traveling the world, and building a life we love. Looking back at how we found our way back to each other, we use the phrase "crazy lucky" all the time. As we look ahead to our next chapters, we’re ready for more travel, more concerts, the joy of grandchildren, and eventually, retirement. We can't help but wonder what the next chapters will bring, but we know we're ready for it all—together.

🧥 Weather &amp; TimingQ: What will the weather be like in Sedona in October?A: October is arguably the most beautiful month in Sedona, but the high-desert climate comes with big temperature swings. Mornings can be quite crisp (in the mid-50s), while the afternoon sun will warm the canyon up into the mid-70s or low 80s. Layering is your best friend!Q: Is the reception fully outdoors? What happens if it rains?A: Yes! Our brunch reception is set directly out in the beautiful desert mountain cliffs to take in the morning views.👗 Dress Code &amp; TerrainQ: What is the dress code?A: Think upscale, chic daytime attire—flowing midi or maxi dresses, smart tailored separates, or relaxed blazers.Q: Can I wear heels?A: We highly advise against stilettos or thin heels! Because the reception is on natural cliffside terrain with uneven dirt and rock, please opt for block heels, wedges, or stylish dressy flats so you can mingle safely and comfortably.🎃 Halloween Weekend &amp; TravelQ: Why should I book my travel and hotel early?A: October is peak tourism season in Sedona, and because it is Halloween weekend, the town will be incredibly vibrant and busy. Hotels, flights, rental cars, and resort activities will book out months in advance, so we strongly encourage making your reservations as soon as possible!Q: Are there any local Halloween events we should check out?A: Yes! Sedona does Halloween big. From the famous Dia de los Muertos celebrations at Tlaquepaque Arts &amp; Shopping Village to the Uptown costume festivities, there is a ton to do. Sedona is nestled high in the canyon mountains, making it a spectacular destination to drive into. Because October is peak season in the desert, we highly recommend booking your flights and rental cars well in advance!✈️ Choosing Your AirportPhoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX): Recommended. This is the largest major airport near us, offering the most direct flight options and rental car availability. From PHX, it is a straightforward and beautiful 2-hour drive north up the interstate.Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG): The absolute closest commercial airport to Sedona. It is a smaller regional airport, so you will likely need a connecting flight (usually through Phoenix or Dallas), but it cuts your drive down significantly.Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas: If you want to turn our wedding weekend into a classic Southwestern road trip, flying into Vegas is a fantastic option.🚙 Driving from Las VegasFor our Nevada family and friends—or guests opting to turn our wedding weekend into a Southwestern road trip—the drive from Las Vegas to Sedona is simple, beautiful, and highly recommended!Drive Time &amp; Distance: Approximately 280 miles (4.5 to 5 hours).The Route: Head south out of Vegas on US-93 past Boulder City and across the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge (near the Hoover Dam) into Arizona.
