Sedona is nestled high in the canyon mountains, making it a spectacular destination to drive into. Because October is peak season in the desert, we highly recommend booking your flights and rental cars well in advance!

✈️ Choosing Your Airport

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX): Recommended. This is the largest major airport near us, offering the most direct flight options and rental car availability. From PHX, it is a straightforward and beautiful 2-hour drive north up the interstate.

Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG): The absolute closest commercial airport to Sedona. It is a smaller regional airport, so you will likely need a connecting flight (usually through Phoenix or Dallas), but it cuts your drive down significantly.

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas: If you want to turn our wedding weekend into a classic Southwestern road trip, flying into Vegas is a fantastic option.

🚙 Driving from Las Vegas

For our Nevada family and friends—or guests opting to turn our wedding weekend into a Southwestern road trip—the drive from Las Vegas to Sedona is simple, beautiful, and highly recommended!

Drive Time & Distance: Approximately 280 miles (4.5 to 5 hours).

The Route: Head south out of Vegas on US-93 past Boulder City and across the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge (near the Hoover Dam) into Arizona. Catch I-40 East through Kingman and Williams, then take AZ-89A South from Flagstaff for a breathtaking, winding descent through Oak Creek Canyon straight into Sedona.

Pro Tip: Keep an eye out for historic Route 66 stops along I-40 if you want to grab lunch or stretch your legs!

🌵The drive from the center of Sedona (Uptown) to Enchantment Resort takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Distance: ~8.5 miles

Route: Head west on SR-89A into West Sedona, turn right on Dry Creek Road, and follow it into Boynton Canyon Road until you reach the resort gate.

Traffic Note: Driving through West Sedona during peak tourist hours (mid-day weekends) or high season (spring/fall) can add 5–10 minutes due to traffic at key intersections and roundabouts on SR-89A.
